Privacy Policy

Accomodi is built to work without accounts or logins. This page explains the little data we do collect and why.

What we collect

We don't collect an email address unless you contact us directly via the Contact page — it's used solely to reply to your message and isn't sold or shared with third parties. Anonymous feedback you submit is stored alongside the postcode you were viewing, with no account or identity attached.

Cookies & local storage

We use a small LOCALE cookie to remember your language choice. Your daily free-search count (30/day) is tracked entirely in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device and we have no way to see it. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics also sets a few cookies to recognize repeat visits — see "Google Analytics (GA4)" below.

Search analytics

Every postcode search increments an aggregate counter for that postcode (search_count). This counter is anonymous and never linked to an individual visitor, IP address, or session.

Site analytics

We also use a privacy-first analytics service to see aggregate traffic trends — things like which pages get visited and roughly how many people are visiting. It doesn't use cookies, can't track you across other websites, and never collects anything that identifies you personally.

Google Analytics (GA4)

With your consent from the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — which pages get visited, roughly how long for, and general device, browser, and location information. We haven't enabled Google Signals or ad personalization, so this isn't used for advertising or linked across other Google services. Declining, or simply not answering the banner, keeps GA4 fully disabled: no script loads and no cookies are set. See Google's own privacy policy for how they process this data.

What we don't do

No advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking pixels, no reselling of your data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold (in practice: your email address, if you've contacted us). Contact us and we'll act within 30 days.

Building era tracking (pre-1970 construction risk flags) and local energy label efficiency spreads.

Social & Community Dynamics

Population density balances, neighbourhood turnover indexes, and crime/nuisance trend lines.

Safety & Nuisance

Registered residential burglary rates and the share of registered crime that's nuisance-type, from Politie Open Data.

Data & Trust

Where does this data come from?

We strictly use official, verified public open data provided by the Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS), the Cadaster (Kadaster), the Dutch National Police (Politie), RIVM (the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, including its Atlas Leefomgeving noise survey), and DUO (the Education Executive Agency), plus community-mapped amenity data from OpenStreetMap and local permit/zoning notices from Overheid.nl. No commercial bias, no scraped fluff. Just cold, hard civic analytics mapped to your prospective doorstep.
